Last night I hosted my first poker game on the new table that I built. 8 of us played and after a grueling night of being up and down in a bunch of carney card games, I ended up being up about $110. I guess it's new table luck.
I gotta tell you, there's just a great feeling building something from scratch by yourself (especially without ever working with wood and fabric and all that stuff before). Recovering a third of the cost after the first time I use it ain't too shabby either!
