Lovely Rita
There is only one lovely Rita that I know and that's my Aunt. Unfortunately, she's not the Rita that's visiting us in Houston this weekend.
I now have my provisions, important documents and all that good stuff, but I have to stay in Houston instead of evacuating.
I'm not really frightened of the storm itself... I mean, my house is just stuff (that, hopefully, with some sweet insurance money, will become even better stuff)... but I sort of feel like a sitting duck since I'll be sleeping at my station all weekend (and not even in my cozy office since it's one of the few offices here with a giant window).
Hopefully the building is safe. Otherwise, it's been a good run.
I love you all and I'll be in touch after this thing blows over.
