Anyone who compares "The Departed" to "Goodfellas" is crazy. To say it's better is a crime. I saw "The Departed" last night and was mildly entertained by it, but, in the end, felt like it wasn't worth my time investing in these characters.
And how could Nicholson's character not know who the rat was? I mean... hmm... maybe it's the ex-cop who just joined your crew, has problems killing people and acts suspicious all the time. Ya think?

Well, I didn't really ruin it, because there's never any doubt about who's doing what to whom in that movie. I was simply stating a fact that you could learn just by watching the first 10 minutes.
